Site Rules
Last updated: May 27, 2026
ChickenCoops.ai is a community of backyard chicken keepers helping each other raise happy, healthy flocks. These rules keep the site useful, welcoming, and safe for everyone.
1. Be Kind and Respectful
Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated. No personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, slurs, or bullying. Disagree with ideas, not people.
2. Stay On Topic
Posts should relate to chickens, coops, flock care, supplies, or backyard poultry life. Off-topic threads may be removed to keep the feed useful.
3. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Don't post repetitive content, affiliate dumps, MLM pitches, or unrelated product promotions. Vendors and creators are welcome to share helpful content, but blatant advertising will be removed.
4. Share Accurate Info
When giving advice — especially on health, medication, predator protection, or building safety — share what you actually know. Flag guesses as guesses. Always recommend a vet for serious health issues.
5. No Graphic or Disturbing Content
This is a family-friendly site. Don't post gore, graphic predator-attack photos, animal cruelty, or other disturbing imagery without clear warnings. Use good judgment.
6. Respect Privacy
Don't share other people's personal info — addresses, phone numbers, real names, or photos — without their permission. Keep your own location fuzzy if you're sharing on the map.
7. No Illegal Content
No content that promotes illegal activity, violates laws, or infringes copyright. This includes pirated plans, stolen photos, and unauthorized reproductions of other people's work.
8. Animal Welfare First
ChickenCoops.ai exists to help people care for their birds well. Content promoting cruelty, neglect, fighting, or clearly inhumane practices is not allowed.
9. One Account Per Person
Don't create duplicate accounts to evade bans, inflate votes, or impersonate others. Bot and automation accounts require prior approval.
10. Reporting and Moderation
If you see something that breaks the rules, report it. Moderators may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts at their discretion. Repeat or serious violations result in a permanent ban.
11. Not a Substitute for a Vet
Nothing on this site — including AI tools, articles, or community advice — replaces professional veterinary care. When in doubt, call your vet.
